Another great meal this year was in The Old Church Restaurant which, just as its name suggests, is in an Old Church. It's part of a new hotel called An Grianan in Burt, Co Donegal, and it's producing excellent food at prices that seem absurdly low after Dublin. The historical surroundings of the Old Church, which still retains many of the features including the beautifully stained glass windows and the magnificant timber framed roof of the Church in which it was built, dating back some 150 years.
Sit in front of our open fire, or have an intimate candle-lit dinner with someone special in our upstairs restaurant, while our dedicated team of chefs prepare the finest local ingredients to tempt your taste buds.
